The St. Thomas Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) 451 Wellington St., St. Thomas, Ontario N5R 5X8 519 631-7490

Our present church building was dedicated to service to God May 31, 1987.

It culminated the bold step of combining the congregations of Park Ave and Princess Ave Christian Churches of St. Thomas into the present congregation. We seek to fulfill the mission entrusted to the church which includes the call to evangelize, to get the good news out to the world, to reflect our love of Jesus and to follow His teachings.

History and What The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Is About

Our Affirmation

We, the members of St. Thomas Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), confess that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the Living God and proclaim him Lord and Savior. We believe the mission of the St. Thomas Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is:

1. To worship God by gathering weekly around the Lord's table and committing ourselves to Christian unity.

2. To seek to know God and to make God known through study and teaching of the Scriptures.

3. To create a tolerant faith community that invites and cares for all of God's people.

  • Our Services begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mornings.
Our doors are open and we welcome you to join with us in worship.

The Chalice

The symbol of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is a simple red chalice bearing the Cross of St. Andrew across the left side of the bowl. The chalice points to the centrality of the Lord's Supper in the life and worship of the Disciples who celebrate Communion each Sunday. The Lord's Supper is open to Christians of all persuasions and has been characteristic of the church from its beginning in the early nineteenth century. The Cross of St. Andrew, national cross of Scotland, focuses attention on the Presbyterian roots of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The color red signifies vitality, spirit and sacrifice.
